This was a very nice hotel located in downtown. It’s directly across from Mayo. The concierge checked each guest in and very helpful. This nice touch made the experience extra special.

It was our mistake that we booked in Peterson not Lanesboro. Nothing to do in Peterson except use the bike trail—so more time in the car than we wanted for restaurants, shops, and the theater. Everything was fine at the B and B, but nothing was fantastic. Clean and quiet, but the bed wasn’t super comfortable and the toilet ran incessantly (in a small room the noise starts to bother!). The breakfast was fine, the common rooms were fine, the big porch was fine. The owner wanted to make the stay nice—that’s clear. We weren’t familiar enough with the area though, and we hoped for more activity near us, and more special touches (at previous B and B’s we’ve had a coffee tray delivered in the morning, late afternoon and/or evening snacks laid out, and more space in the room itself). Absolutely fine! Just not fantastic.
